UniPalm : A HIT ?

After UniPalm is installed for the first time at the beginning of 2002, we had a few interesting projects in the past months.

In Katwijk a Waste Disposal Site is equipped with UniWin and UniPalm. Normally a weighing is executed by an operator using the PC with UniWin. But there are situations in which the operator has to go on-site, to do control work. If at that moment, a vehicle enters the weighbridge, the operator is able to execute a weighing, by using UniPalm. This project is implemented by our Dutch partner Precia Molen Breda.

Furthermore, our partner MultiServ USA has equipped 4 sites in Canada with UniWin in combination with UniPalm. At those sites they weigh there own Trucks. By selecting the correct product and location a weighing is finalized. Below the image you can see a short description of this Project.



The Palmtop with Cradle is placed in the Truck. UniPalm is installed on the Palmtop. Because of the radio-connection with the Base-Access-Point, which is connected with the PC (Installed with UniWin), a connection between UniWin and UniPalm is active. From this time it is possible for the Truck-Driver to execute a weighing with the use of UniPalm, whilst he drove on the weighbridge in his Truck. By choosing Material and Location the transaction can be completed.
