UniWin Scrapmaster™

Harsco Metals provides logistical services to Steelmakers all over the world. One of these services is called Scrap-Management. In short this involves the following activities;

• Weighing and handling incoming scrap;
• Stockmanagement;
• Just-In-Time delivery of scrap to the steelmill. This is a very accurate task that is done with use of a recipe-function;
• Data-exchange with the steelmill's business-system.

For these activities we have developed a specific add-on to our UniWin-software. The solution is called Scrapmaster™, which has been trademarked by Harsco Metals.
In the beginning of this year we have implemented two systems in close cooperation with them. One system is implemented in Wollongong, NSW, Australia and the other in Lima, Peru. A third project has just been ordered and will be implemented around September/October 2011 at Terni, Italy.
