3 Waste-Disposal Sites @ The City of The Hague

During November 2010 we implemented a new system at 3 Waste-Disposal sites at the City of The Hague. Every household received a mailing, which included a Barcode-Badge. With this badge they can enter the Waste-Disposal sites and leave their waste. The system went life at December 1, 2010.

The solution does the following for the City;

• Controlled acces to the Waste-Disposal sites. No unauthorized visitors from neighboring cities and as well as companies;
• Better insight on the waste flows;
• Provides reports/informations that allows for managers to make operational changes/decisions.

In this project we had the following tasks;

• Supply appr. 240000 Barcode-Badges;
• Supply 3 Access-Control Boxes as shown below;
• Connect these boxes to the UniWin-application;
• Connect to Barriers that block the entrance;
• Synchronize all transactional data to a central database;
• Setup several reporting tasks.
