Weighing per SMS

A new UniWin-module is developed, which is called UniSMS. This module is capable to initiate events and send results via SMS-messages.

With this module the following functionality comes available within UniWin;

• UniSMS can be used to initiate an Unattendant Weighing. The SMS is send to UniWin, UniWin performs the Weighing and sends back the SMS-message with details such as Weight, Date, Time, etc; The message may contain one or more reference fields which could be needed to complete a weighing;
• UniSMS can also be used for Registration by Truckdrivers. They simply introduce basic details to the system via SMS from a far distance;
• Furthermore it can be used for the Call-up of Truckdrivers who are waiting at the Parking and are now allowed on-site, or are waiting at "Home" and can start driving to the Facility;
• And UniSMS can also be used for simple Access-Control.

The module is completely implemented locally, so there are no extra costs for SMS service providers. The running costs only consist of the price the telephone service provider charges for an SMS. These days agreements are available for SMS-bundels that can get the price of single SMS down to 1 cent (EUR/USD) or even less to nothing.
