
One special peripheral of UniWin is UniMobile. This application generally runs on a touch screen PDA-device (Windows CE, Windows Mobile). UniMobile is capable of connecting to a weighing indicator and a printer. When all these devices are mounted on a vehicle, the operation becomes really mobile. It is capable of running in three different modes to suite the environment it works is;
- On-line allows UniMobile to be directly connected to a UniWin server and exchanges data online using WLan or GPRS;
- Off-line is used when the area is not equipped with a wireless system. The data is exchanged with UniWin using a synchronise function by either WLan (when in reach) or by physically connecting the device with a cable;
- With Standalone, the unit is preprogrammed with the application and the finished weighings can be copied of the device as a .csv file. This way UniMobile becomes a small UniWin by itself without the need of any other infrastructure.
